The Department of Human Resources and Administration at Sokoine University of Agriculture offers a range of services aimed at supporting Management, Academic and Administrative staff with both operational and academic matters towards attainment of University Strategic Plans.

The department has three sections and one unit, namely; Establishment and staff Development Section, Benefits and Compensation Section, Administrative Services Section and HR Information System Unit. The Department is led by the Chief Human Resource & Administration Officer (CHRAO) and it consists of 39 staff from different cadres.

However, University wide there are total of 25 Administrative Officers located in different working stations.

The HR and Administration department strives to ensure that SUA Management and employees view the HR office as a vital hub where they will find support and resources to help them achieve success in their performance towards attainment of University Strategic Plan.
