Sokoine University of Agriculture's Center for African and International Languages (SUACAIL) has been a hub of offering professionally designed face-to-face and online programmes to learners of international languages within and outside SUA.

In addition, the Centre is also mandated to offer customized short courses in Kiswahili, English, French, Chinese and other languages; training programmes for candidates of TOEFL and IELTS; conducting research on African and international languages and other language related projects in collaboration with similar Centres or institutions in Africa and beyond.

The English language proficiency courses primarily designed for clients who wish to improve their English
language skills to the best functional level in preparation for effective communication in different settings.

The course participants will be provided with instructional and self-access learning opportunities through integrated technology based on resources which will enable them to communicate effectively and confidently through spoken and written English
