1.1 Event: Scientific Writing Workshop
The Sokoine University of Agriculture Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (SUALISA) announces a training workshop on Scientific Writing/ Academic Writing to be held in Dar es Salaam at Landmark Hotel from 20th to 24th June 2022.
1.2 Aim of the Workshop
It aims at equipping young career or junior researchers, students, and tutors in academia with scientific writing and publishing skills.
1.3. Content
The content of the training will include but is not limited to
- The structure of a scientific paper,
- Authorship,
- Selection of a journal,
- Publication ethics,
- Literature search and managing references,
- Critical reviewing of research papers,
- Communicating research findings, and
- Promoting your papers.
1.4 Eligibility (who should apply?)
Eligible applicants are postgraduate students, college tutors/academic staff, junior or early career researchers, and any others who are interested. During the training, applicants are encouraged to come with their manuscripts that are intended for submission to a journal for publication.
1.5 Fees and Deadline
Fees: TZS 800,000/= or USD 344.50 for the five days
The deadline for application and payment of the fee is June 16th, 2022.
