The Tanzania Veterinary Association (TVA) is pleased to inform you that the 40^th TVA International Scientific Conference will be held in Dodoma, Tanzania from Tuesday 6^th to Thursday 8^th December, 2022. Specific venue will be announced in the coming days.

The pre-Conference program will start on Monday 5^th December 2022 including Community Outreach / Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programmes.

THEME
Sustainable Animal Health, Welfare, Wildlife Conservation, and Livestock Production as Catalysts for Economic Development, Food Safety and Food Security

Sub-themes:

1. Livestock Diseases, Control and Livestock Production Technologies
2. Animal Health, Welfare and Wildlife conservation for Economic Development
3. Adaptation to Climate Change to Reduce Negative Impacts on Livestock Production and Welfare
4. Leveraging Existing Technologies in Animal Disease Diagnostics and Management
5. Contribution of Public-Private Partnership in Promoting Livestock Value Chain Enabling Environment 

You are kindly invited to submit an Abstract and a full paper for the conference. The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should include: a brief title, names of authors and their affiliations, email of the corresponding author, brief background, methodology, key findings, discussion/interpretation and conclusion without subtitles. Include 4-5 keywords at the end of the abstract and indicate if the abstract is for oral or poster presentation.

MODE OF CONFERENCE RUNNING
The Conferences will be run using a HYBRID mode allowing both PHYSICAL and VIRTUAL conference participation and/or presentation.

Important Timelines

1. 08^th August 2022:  Call For Abstracts/Full Paper Published
2. 21^st October 2022: Submission deadline for abstracts and full papers
3. 31st October 2022: Selection of Abstracts/Full Papers and relevant Authors informed
4. 15^th November 2022: Latest date for selected speakers to confirm and submit PowerPoint presentations

TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS AND PREPARATION OF FULL PAPERS

1. Oral presentation (Not more than 15 slides presentable within 10-15 minutes)
2. Posters (Specific information will be sent to selected abstracts for poster)

4. International physical participants = TZS 350,000 (Approximately US$150)
5. International virtual participants = TZS 175,000 (Approximately US$75)
