Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is pleased to announce the JICA Chair Academic Forum, to be held at SUA on 17th February 2026. The forum aims to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing between Tanzania and Japan in the field of agrarian development.
17th February, 2026 : Starting at 8.00 am
The panellists will include Prof. Geoffrey C. Mrema (SUA), Prof. Koichi Shoji (Kobe University), the Director of Agricultural Mechanisation (MoA) and a JICA Expert.

The forum is open to all students, particularly those pursuing degree programmes in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Agronomy, and related fields. It also welcomes academic members of staff at SUA, researchers, industry professionals, and all individuals interested in the development of agricultural mechanisation.
