EXIT LEVEL OUTCOMES AND ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Regulations pertaining to course and dissertation evaluation shall be as per General University Examination Regulations and Guidelines for degree and non-degree programmes of Sokoine University of Agriculture.

MSc degree in Post-harvest Technology and Management will be awarded By the end and successfully passing of all core courses and selected elective courses in year one that make a minimum of 120 credits(1200 ‘NOTIONAL’ OR ‘AVERAGE LEARNING’ hours) and MSc dissertation with a minimum of 60 credits. The minimum time for full time students to complete their degree programme shall be 2 years. Assessment criteria for various components of examinations shall be as per SUA general regulation and guidelines. 

Candidates who have completed coursework but could not meet the requirement for MSc degree due to various reasons will qualify for an exit award which is a postgraduate diploma.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

The Admission regulations for Masters Degrees as stipulated in "Regulations and guidelines for higher degrees" of Sokoine University of Agriculture shall apply. 
The MSc. in PTM degree programme is open to applicants with a background in bioprocess, post-harvest technology, agricultural engineering, food sciences and technology, biotechnology, process engineering, or related field.
