The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is organizing the 14th Exhibitions on Higher Education, Science and Technology event which is being held from 15th to 20th July 2019 at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds, Dar es Salaam. Higher Education Institutions (including Sokoine University of Agriculture), Regulatory, Professional and Research Bodies within and outside Tanzania are participating.

The vision of the exhibitions is to promote mutual understanding on quality assurance issues in higher education and research outputs and to provide a platform that enhances participation, linkages/collaboration, and partnerships between higher education institutions, Research and Development Institutions and the Industry for the benefits of all humanity while Its core mission is to create and promote equity, collaborations, partnerships networks and linkages between higher education institutions, industry, research and development institutions for attainment of national development goals as well as for the regional and global socioeconomic development.
Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is using this opportunity to create awareness among the general public about the Institution, to publicize and showcase its core functions which include outreach activities, Consultancy services, academic programmes and courses offered, Research projects and various technologies developed.
The event also enables the public and prospective applicants who wish to apply for admission into Higher Education Institutions within and outside Tanzania for the year 2019/2020 to interact with Universities, Regulatory Bodies and Research Institutions in order for them to make an informed choice.

The theme for this year's event is ‘The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Industrial Skills Production’ .
