Samia Suluhu Hassan is determined to increase the financial budget for the productive sectors, especially Agriculture and Livestock, so as to increase production, efficiency and create employment opportunities for youth.

"So let's tell our youth that there are opportunities here and the Government is determined to facilitate these sectors, this year the budget has increased, and we believe that next year it will increase even more because that is where most Tanzanians get their income" - said Hon. Mashimba Ndaki

He then announced that his ministry will establish livestock incubation centers for youth this year (2022), and the ministry specialists have already begun learning how SUA and Private Agricultural Sector Support (PASS) manage agricultural incubation facilities.

"We will focus on livestock, and we have come to learn here, the main reason is the benefits that we see now and what we expect from these centers, and from next year, the government will increase the financial budget for incubation centers in agriculture, livestock and fishing" - said Hon. Mashimba Ndaki

He made a special appeal to all youth to take advantage of the various opportunities available in the agriculture and livestock sector, such as joining incubation centers, and promised that the government will support them and connect them with financial institutions such as agricultural banks in order to obtain loans.

For his part, the Vice Chancellor of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Professor Raphael Chibunda spoke about how the university's mission has always been to help farmers, livestock keepers, fishers, and youth by providing them with agriculture knowledge and skills so they can produce efficiently and profitably.
