The MO-Kerry Group has officially launched the Mo-Kerry Scholarship Programme, aimed at empowering young graduates and enhancing the food processing and value addition sector in Tanzania.
The launch ceremony, held on September 25, 2025, was officiated by Prof. Carolyne Nombo, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, on behalf of the Minister. Through this initiative, 40 graduates from various higher learning institutions in the country, including the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), will benefit from specialized professional and practical training in food processing.
As a leading institution in agricultural education and research in Tanzania, SUA participated actively in the launch event, reaffirming its commitment to supporting development partners’ efforts in enhancing youth skills and driving transformation in the agricultural sector.
The SUA leadership commended the MO-Kerry Group for its innovation and investment in practical education, noting that this collaboration will help produce highly skilled professionals equipped with modern expertise to support Tanzania’s goals in industrialization and food security.
