Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) had the great honor of hosting ambassadors from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway as part of efforts to deepen our long standing partnerships.
The visit highlighted over 50 years of collaboration, starting with Norway’s support in establishing forestry education and Denmark’s key role in building the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and training early lecturers.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Raphael Chibunda shared the remarkable growth of SUA from under 2,000 students to nearly 18,000 today. Thanks in part to this support.
Discussions focused on expanding cooperation, including student and staff exchange programs.
Ambassador Jesper Kammersgaard of Denmark also commended SUA’s progress in modernizing the Faculties of Animal Science and Forestry and praised the work of SUGECO in empowering youth in agriculture.
We are proud of these strong ties and look forward to even greater collaboration ahead!
