LEARNING OUTCOME

Students who graduate from this program will be able to;

  1. Handle and assist farmers on matter related to sustainable ways of improving soil productivity and crop production.
  2. Work and employ themselves in agricultural-based and related firms
  3. Apply and develop skills in agronomy and manage natural resources and the environment sustainably.
  4. Formulate and execute research, analyses data and interpret results in the domain of soil science and related fields of agriculture.
  5. Apply aspects of crop production, agricultural enterprise and farm management, sustainable exploitation of natural resources for crop production.
  6. Conduct land capability/suitability evaluation and environmental impact assessment for a wide range of land use.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Two principal passes (4 points) in Biology and one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Agriculture/ Physics/Advanced Mathematics or Geography OR Diploma in Agriculture with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in two science subject at O-Level.

Tshs 1,263,000 per year.
