COURSE STRUCTURE

The course structure consists of three categories of courses: common core, specialized, and electives. All students must take all common core courses. The specialized courses shall be taken by students who will opt for a given area of specialization as follows: Agricultural Land Resources Planning, Tropical Soil Fertility Management and Soil-water Management.

EXIT LEVEL OUTCOMES AND ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

There will be two exit levels for the PhD in Soil and Water Management of SUA. A candidate who shall have completed course work but could not continue with the research component of the program will qualify for the award of a postgraduate diploma in Soil and Water Management. Upon successful completion of the program as stipulated in "Regulations and guidelines for higher degrees of Sokoine University of Agriculture", the candidate will qualify for the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Soil and Water Management degree of Sokoine University of Agriculture.
 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

The Admission regulations as stipulated in "Regulations and guidelines for higher degrees" of Sokoine University of Agriculture shall apply.
