Proper Planning for Training Materials Key to Effective Farmer Education

 Proper planning and development of training materials play a crucial role in ensuring effective learning and knowledge transfer to farmers. This was emphasized by Prof. Athman Kyaruzi Ahmad from the Agricultural Extension Department at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) during an AGRISPARK project training session for students developing small booklets aimed at addressing various challenges faced by farmers in Tanzania.

AGRISPARK Researchers Train Students to Develop Farmer Support Booklets

Researchers from the AGRISPARK project at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) have begun implementing a plan to develop small booklets aimed at addressing various challenges faced by farmers in the country by training student researchers who will participate in the preparation of these booklets. While opening the training, Dr. Philbert Nyinondi, the Principal Investigator of the AGRISPARK project on participatory methods for students and farmers in agricultural knowledge and technology Innovation and Transfer, urged the trainees to pay close attention to the training sessions because they aim to build their foundational skills for the work they are about to embark on.
