Jonathan is on leave from Sokoine University of Agriculture where he works as a Senior Lecturer at the College of Social Science and Humanities. Dr. Mbwambo holds a BSc. In Horticulture, MSc. In Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Agriculture and a PhD in Development Studies.

In fulfillment of the promise given by the president of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. John Pombe Magufuli to the Sokoine University of Agriculture community during his visit on 7th May 2018, Earlier today (11th August 2018) the University has received 10 new tractors in the event held at TAMCO Industrial Estate, Kibaha District, Coast Region
