The college hosts more than 1800 students who are trained by 136 staff. It currently offers eight undergraduate programs, one post graduate diploma in education, two masters programs, and PhD (by Thesis) in the area of life sciences, physical sciences, environmental sciences, meteorology, hydrogeology, natural products, toxicology, phytochemistry, mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics, informatics, network science, computational sciences, cognitive and science teachers education.

The Vision of the College is to become an international recognized centre of excellence and valued member of the Veterinary Education and allied sciences in view to promote socioeconomic development through practical skills, entrepreneurship, research and integration of basic and applied knowledge in solving societal challenges.

On  2015 after the restructuring of SUA Management System and Organization Structure,the Faculty of Agriculture was split to form College of Agriculture and School of Agricultural Economics and Business Studies (SAEBS)
