LEARNING OUTCOME

The graduate can design, implement and control forest operations in natural and plantation forests; identify tree species, their habitats, uses, and economic values; manage forest pests and diseases in the tropics; identify, formulate and solve forest engineering problems; select appropriate harvesting methods and systems for forests; be entrepreneurs in forestry and forestry products to add value to meet market demands. The graduate are excellent planners and managers of forestry industries

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Two principal passes (4 points) in Biology and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Geography or Agriculture. OR Diploma in Forestry/Bee-Keeping, Wildlife Management or Agriculture with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in Biology and two science subjects at O-Level.
