Mr. Andrew William Massawe, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Council, chaired the 181st Council Meeting held on June 30, 2025. The meeting was attended by Council Members and the University Management.

Prof. Maulid Mwatawala, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), held talks with Dr. Flavio Andreoli Bonazzi, CEO of Hydrowatt Abruzzo from Italy, during his visit to SUA. The meeting preceded day two of a professional training aimed at enhancing knowledge in water management, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to combating stunting, which affects over 30% of children under the age of five, while also addressing the challenges of overweight and micronutrient deficiencies through the National Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan.
