Participation of SUA at UNFCCC COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, November 6 to 18, 2022

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) was one of the stakeholders from the United Republic of Tanzania that participated in the 27th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP 27) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that took place from 6 to 18 November 2022 at Sharm El Sheik, Egypt. 

Documentary: Capacity Building on Environmental Flows Assessment in WIO Countries

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) through the support of the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and the Nairobi Convention (NC) conducted an international training workshop on the "Capacity Building on Environmental Flows Assessment in Western Indian Ocean (WIO) Countries” from 19th – 24th September 2022 - at Rufiji Basin Water Board, Rujewa Catchment Office, Mbeya, Tanzania.

Milk and meat production in the drylands of Tanzania amidst climate change

Dr. David Dawson Maleko, lecturer, researcher and consultant at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania, considers the potential solutions for enhancing milk and meat production in the face of these challenges. He discusses the challenges and trade-offs both of intensifying production and of government-led allocation of new grazing areas to herders.
