The APRA project is implemented in six African countries (Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Ghana).  In Tanzania the programme is addressing rice commercialization in Kilombero (Mlimba district council) and Sunflower commercialization in Mkalama and Iramba districts in Singida region. 

At the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) the APRA project is implemented as ICE 007. 

The purpose of this conference is to share experiences on the opportunities and challenges along the rice value chain in relation to inclusion and sustainability in order to forge strategic options for future development that is inclusive and sustainable

The 44th Annual Scientific Conference for the Tanzania Society of Animal Production (TSAP) will be held in ARUSHA, TANZANIA at OLASIT GARDEN, from Wednesday 27^th to Friday 29^th October, 2021. It will be an excellent opportunity to bring together outstanding scientists, policy makers, professionals and students from interdisciplinary fields of Animal Science and Production, Veterinary, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Economics and other stakeholders with interest in the livestock and fisheries industries in order to share the latest developments in the livestock industry, meet old friends and form new partnerships. Researchers, policy makers, extension experts, managers and all players in the livestock and fisheries sub-sectors are invited to share experiences and explore the role of livestock and fish production in the process of industrialization in Tanzania amid pressures of the changing environment.
