Serikali imekipongeza Chuo Kikuu cha Sokoine cha Kilimo (SUA) kwa kuwa chanzo cha uzalishaji wa vifaranga bora vya samaki na hivyo kuwapunguzia wafugaji changamoto ya upatikanaji wa vifaranga hivyo. Pongezi hizo zimetolewa Agosti 7, 2023 na Waziri wa Nchi, Ofisi ya Makamu wa Rais Muungano na Mazingira Mhe. Selemani Jafo wakati alipotembelea Banda la SUA katika Maonesho ya Nanenane Kanda ya Mashariki yanayofanyika mjini Morogoro.
