SUA to help Morogoro Region in Developing Strategic Crops

Morogoro Regional Commissioner Adam Malima has said that youth from the YEESI LAB SUA project will help the Morogoro Region in increasing production in agriculture.  Morogoro Regional Commissioner Adam Malima has also said that, youth from the YEESI LAB SUA project, will help the Morogoro region in solving environmental challenges in Mount Uluguru.

Launching of the National Bamboo Strategy and Action Plan

The National Carbon Monitoring Centre (NCMC) actively participated in a significant milestone event by contributing to the launch of the National Bamboo Strategy and Action Plan in Dar es Salaam on Monday, February 19, 2024. During the event, NCMC representative specifically addressed the processes, criteria, and requirements for carbon credit projects in Tanzania. NCMC representative emphasized the overlooked potential of bamboo for generating carbon credits in Tanzania. He highlighted bamboo’s rapid growth rate, which allows for significant carbon removal in a relatively short timeframe compared to other tree species. This means that the majority of carbon benefits from bamboo cultivation can be realized within ten years after planting.
