Five Sokoine University of Agriculture students who own Afya ya Mnyama Digital Company Limited won the Best Startup Innovation Award for their idea of Mnyama Chech Digital Platforms, which was organised by the local mobile company Vodacom through the Vodacom Foundation in collaboration with HUAWEI and the Mass Challenge.

The National Kiswahili Council (BAKITA) and the Zanzibar Kiswahili Council (BAKIZA) have not only accepted but eagerly embraced the proposal of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) to collaborate on standardizing agricultural terminology in Kiswahili.

Sokoine AGRI-ENTERPRISE (SAEG) pitched their innovative idea MbogaFasta in the Innovation horticulture value addition of the USAID feed the future, and emerged among the winners.
